little low end power...help!

i dont know exactly how to describe this, or if anyone else has had this problem. i have a '95 GXE auto, and when I floor it, the car does not feel as responsive compared (its a big sluggish) to when i give it 3/4 throttle or so. our 2k max feels more touchy with the pedals, and you can smoke those tires, mine will get just a little bit of squeel most of the time. I feel like there should be much more low end power, once it gets moving then it pulls great, its just the initial start which is slow to me. is there some way to tighten the throttle cables? or a chip similar to the ones for Grand Am GT's (tells computer that its full throttle when its only half or something like that) I dont want to get a CAI and I Like my hybrid, but I need some more low end. maybe I should pull up some ECU codes to see if the KS is bad..if anyone can help I'd appreciate it. I will be changing the fuel filter soon too (it might be clogged).

Maintenance up to date? Spark plugs, fuel filter? Bad knock sensor maybe? I've got a popcharger intake and the car won't go till about 3000 rpm, but I don't mind, it's a 5 speed so I can keep the rev's up when accelerating.

Pull codes and see. My throttle respnose totally sucked with my bad KS, after I changed it, the difference is like night and day, especially in the low end. Also, a tune up may help as well, new plugs, new fuel filter, clean you K&N, clean the throttle body, tighten up the throttle cable, which is really easy after you open the hood and follow the cable, just make them nice and tight, and you sure have some loe end in no time. After all is nice and tuned up, go for a UDP, which may help slightly on the low end.

There is no TPS enhancer, which the GAGT's have, that they make for us 4th genners. All that does is open the throttle 100% when the pedal is pushed 75%, or somthing similar to that.

I just put on the stillen intake in july, so it only has 3k miles on it, i just changed the plugs in august (less than 1k miles) the fuel filter is next, and then i need my tranny flushed. I'll try to tighten up the cables this weekend cause they do feel a little loose, hope that will clear it all up.
