Need help about installing air filter

I'm thinking about installing an aftermarket filter (doesn't matter which one) but was wondering what to do with the sensor that used to go through the airbox cause I have to take the airbox out. What is that sensor anyway? Am I suppose to attach it somewhere?

what kind of filter is it? and what are you using? a mid pipe? or what?

i have seen people put the temp sensor in the front of hte intake.. however it just senses tempreture.. so if you don't mind you can tape it near the intake

Zip tied mine to the battery. I was going to try to find a place to mount it, and fab a bracket for it to cling too but lately I have other pressing obligations that demand my time.

I have a 96 and when i was goin through my intake system (stock midpipe w/ resonator and cone filter) and could not locate the air temp sensor...

The cone filter was already on the car when i got it so i don't know what happend w/ it. When you just need to install a cone filter, do u have to relocate the temprature sensor then? Or would i have to do that for the first time when I install my frankencar midpipe. I only ask cuz i can't find the darn thing, the only thing that seems to be plugged into the intake system is the MAF gray cable. Can someoen describe to me where it'd be? Thanks.

hope this might help a little

what kind of cone filter is it? and is there any cut out somewhere along the intake with an oval shaped piece about a 1/4" thick and 1" wide with 2 wires coming off of it. thats what the temp sensor looks like, and it has 2 screws holding it inplace (unless the previous owner of your car screwed around with stuff)

Are we talking about the temp sensor, or the boost sensor here? The temp sensor should plug straight into the intake plumbing. The boost sensor is/was located in the scoop.
