Hanabi 8000k question for current users

Hello guys! I was HID wannabe for a long time and now IĄŻm finally going to have this kit.
I just brought this kit from one of our org member and it should be here in no time.
IĄŻve tried all the tricks to achieve the Ą°lookĄ± of HID for the past 4years because I couldnĄŻt afford the real HID.
Now, their price is dropped down and I finally got one for myself.

Does anyone know how to install this kit for 96max?
I know Freddie knows about this but since I got this kit from org member and I donĄŻt feel like to bother him for this (he brought from Freddie BTW).
IĄŻve heard itĄŻs very simple to install but the included manual is useless or something.
Also, whatĄŻs the lifespan of this kit? I mean not the bulb but the whole kit.
IĄŻve heard itĄŻs really bright but is that bright and blue looking to get even pulled over by a cop?
Is it bluer & brighter than Porsche or Audi?
IĄŻve searched all the forum and now I should add this questions to you guys.
CanĄŻt wait to put it on because one of my socket is burned out because of high wattage bulbs.
Driving with one light ain't fun...

installation is pretty simple. try to not look at the manual because it will only confuse you. Basically you just plug together the wires that match colors. If you see a small yellow wire, that goes with a simliar lookin one. Then theres the wires with this black clips, just match the color with those ones as well. finally plug in the power socket into the one they have. May be confusing at 1st but just take some time to study the wires and match the colors. No splicing necessary.

hmm...noticed you said you socket burned out? What do u mean by that? Did they melt? because the kit uses the existing stock power socket for its power source.

Why would we need 97-99 housing for our HIDs? I heard that the 95/96 housings were way better.

Search around, a lot of people say it, because the 95/96 housings are glass, not like the 97-99 housings which are made of plastic or something like that. I also read that 95/96 drivers who convert to 97-99 get their beam patterns destroyed. If Im wrong tell me, I owuld rather switch to 97-99 because they look a whole lot better being clear and all. Anyone else have opinions or facts?

The housing for all 4th gens are designed for the 9004 bulb type. The difference between them is the newer ones are made of a different material and they stay clean & clear. The older ones (95 - 96) turn yellow and get nasty looking inside. The beam pattern is exactly the same for all 4th gens. Not the best for HID conversions, but it works.

So you are saying that there is no difference between the 95/96 and the 97-99 housing other than the fact that one is clear and the other isn'? Well if thats the case and the beam pattern is affected at all then I'm gonna go right now and go buy some

If anything the stock 95-96 headlamp housing shines light more evenly since it has tiny reflectors all over the glass. and that's the other good thing...it's GLASS.

I guesss HID's work better with clear plastic?? I doubt it will make much of a difference though.

Yeah one of my sockets is burned out but I could get a 9004 socket from a junkshop at anytime.
ItĄŻs basically all melted down due to the tiny power wire along with a high wattage bulb.
I canĄŻt wait to put a Hanabi 8000k in my max!
I will post some pix when I get them!

BTW, I've heard 96type housing works better than 97 type according to our members...

from what I heard, the 95-96 lights are the glass type which look like the old cloudy type. Supposedly they give better, a more even light distribution pattern than the 97-99s. The 97-99s are plastic but they dont have the cloudy look to it. IMO, I like the look of the 97-99 housings.
