Integra vs. Maxima

on the way home from work today an Integra VTEC pulled up next to me at a red light, it wasa 98 or so, I"m not too good with honda's...anyways he had intake, exhaust and rims as far as mods go (from what I could tell) and a 5spd. I have a '95 automagic with a hybrid. he turned off his system and started revin' so i figured he wanted a go. on green i got the lead, 1/2 to 3/4 cars on him all the way to 60 then i gained a little more, but at 85-90 he got all this power and gradually pulled past me. I dont know if he had NOS or if integras can pull that hard at high speeds, but I was shocked... none the less, I was pleased with the max's performance.

That sounds about right. I drove A 5 speed GSR, It's weak down bottom, city driving it's like a pussycat. But on the highway, you're in VTEC land. 3rd and 4th gear have the rpms buzzing, and it really goes then.

Racung in flat straight country

Don't race vtechers in curvy/downhills.

Beat their doors off in gentle upward slope...that's where their "high RPM HP/low torque" gets slaughtered the MOST.

I have auto and I only race 5spd 99 and on vtechers only on favorable road conditions for Max.

so there's no surprise in
Record: 2 win / 0 loss vs 99-on integra/prelude 5 spd.

Remember, not just the driver, also the "environment."

In general, Nissan horses are a lot stronger than Honda in the low end but the Honda horses come alive at above 4000 rpm. But if you get a Vairable intake, you get the best of both worlds.

Not out here in Germany. I've been here for 5 months and no dragstrip races yet. I've had several rolling at 30-45 and gun to 110-120 races on the 'bahn. This is where it matters. VTEC on the bahn is very nice. Once the rpms hit 4k it feels like an orgasm in my pants.

I wonder why so many local Americans are dumping their C5s and Cobras... Hmmmm...

As opposed to an orgasm in your shoe?

Seriously, though, that's pretty sick. I've never felt that strongly about a car before.
