Rotor brands - who gets voted off the island??

No don't shoot me for bringing this up - I did do a search and look at past posts, but I am still interested in knowing the "culture" of these companies? and peoples opinions . i am looking for the best "stock or better than stock (not real hard use or racing)" rotor -
These forum pages seem to like brembo -

A quick look at NAPA and Advance auto parts online - shows:

-Raybestos - more expensive than brembo (Raybestos better?)
-Raymold (what are these things?) - cheaper.
- Beck Arnley - are they British ? - not sure I want any British car parts based on experiences years ago?
- NAPA United - who really makes these?
Where are brembo made and how long in "bidness" ?
Bendix?? --

Good questions....

I think Brembo is the choice rotor here because they don't warp. Our cars come from the factory with poor rotors. The biggest complaint on this board is brake judder. Especially on the 5th gens.

I have yet to hear of a Brembo rotor warping on our cars. There probably the best stock replacement you can buy.

Powerslots are great too, but only available for the front ATM.

Are they actually made by stillen? Most stillen products are just renamed things. For instance they might be brembo's or what not.

That's correct. Stillen just buys the blank rotors from Brembo and drills them.

That's funny, I think Brembo and Powerslot are just names with reputations. My brother drove my Maxima to SF from LA (without me) and he returned with my rotors slightly warped and glazed. I have the Brembo Gran Turismo kit, BTW.

My friend with an ITR said that the best rotors known to Hondas that are resistent to warping and brake fade are actually the Autozone rotors. Cost about $20 each or something, but the whole fleet of Hondas I was driving with at Willow Springs all had and loved their cheap rotors.

I wish this would have been asked before so I could have used it.

I had planned to get Brembo all along, but needed new rear brakes very quickly and decided I was going to do it all in one day (new rear pads, front rotors to replace my recently-turned-but-warped-to-hell fronts). I got NAPA's cheapest rotors at $21 apiece. They're not Brembo, but for the money, I gave them a shot. Only been a week, so it's difficult to tell right now. They do seem okay though.

Either Advance or Napa list Raybestos rotors.

Anyone know who makes them?
Are they like oil filters - only 4 or 5 manufacturers?

What roror brands are people using?

Look at my signature. I have them. I love them. End of story.

Where did you get the powerslots from? Is there a dealer online?

My experience with Autozone rotors is that, yes, they are really inexpensive, but they wear really fast. That was on my Suburban. I had them on for a year, replaced the pads and took the rotors back to Autozone to have them turned. The Autozone guy told me sorry, they're already below minimum thickness. I told him I only had them for a year and I've never had them turned. He just shrugged. So I just put them back on the 'Burban without turning them.

Raymold is the econo-Raybestos.

Raybestos has vented rotors under the Brute Stop line, I think.
