95Maxima Se cylinder 3 misfire please help!!
I was driving my maxima and all of a sudden my engine light popped up, so I drove my max home and checked the codes on the ECU and it brought up a 0606 code (cylinder 3 misfire). I have been having some horrible luck with fuel injectors, which i think is the problem..The exhaust is puttering when at idle. I need some help real quick please
Also after I reset the ECU and went out driving again the check engine light popped back up and was blinking this time. What does that mean if its blinking.. I need some help real bad, I can tell a loss in acceleration also..PLease Help me
Thanks in advace,
Nick

Check Bad Coil Pack

According to the Haynes manual, 0606 also indicates a rich/lean bank of cylinders (can't remember if front or back).
Have you taken your plugs out and checked those? I had a similar problem on the dyno the other day, same code. Looking at the condition of ALL the plugs, remember which you pulled from where, is a good indicator of what ignition problem you have.
BTW, cylinder #3 is in the rear bank, but check all the plugs so you can compare them to each other and also see if there are additional cylinders acting up.

i got a cylinder misfire 1 code just yesterday as well...my friend came over, (he had a bunch of extra coil packs), so we swapped it out, and that fixed it right up....try this....start your car, and unplug the connector that goes to coil pack for cylinder 3 (rear right)...if the car is still the same, then you know theres something wrong with that pack....also do the same for the next one over, and notice the change in idle..

well ill tell you exactly how it happened, and how it felt afterwards...i was pulling up to a light, and my car just made a really loud clunk, and then my check engine light came on, and the car just starting idling like ****....if my foot was on the brake, it wasnt half bad, but when i eased off the brake, and then fully let go of it, it was rolling like it was a jumping monkey on crack....it was bad....then i would try to accelerate, it would bog like no tomorrow, and then when it would switch over to the other cylinders, it would be fine...i really didnt hear the exhaust much, so i couldnt tell you what it sounded like....but the power sucked, it would buck around town and on the highway, and its really bad....try disconnecting the connector to the cylinder 3 coil pack (the rear right one), and see if the car remains the same...if it does, unplug the one next to it (the left side), and if the idle gets worse, or you can notice a change in sound, most likely the coil pack you previosuly tested is ****ed....well gl
