Transmission Problems

Anybody out there have any problems with 4th Gen transmissions? I have a 1995 GXE with 120,000 miles, and the bearings in gears 1,2,& 3 are going bad. My mechanic (who is Nissan/Infiniti certified) advised me that it is a common issue with NIssan transmissions. I was wondering if anyone had similar problems, and what I have to expect?

There's definitely a tranny issue with the 4th gens....great sporty engine but ****ty lux. tranny. I have a '99 Auto-Tragic and at 77k mi I had to get it rebuilt....the clutch plates, C-band and torque converted all wasted!! I heard the common resolution to this is to get the Valve Body switched out....and if i knew about this at the time I would've bought that mod...but oh well we'll see how this rebuilt tranny lasts me...if not it's gonna be a call to Level 10!!
