I installed this mod yesterday. Once the air sensor is disconnected from the oem filter housing box, where does it go on the JWT. Or should I just attach it with some ties to a nearby place. This is what I've done and the car is running fine so far/no problems. Just want to be sure I don't screw something up here.

the air temp sensor?

If you are talking about the air temp sensor, then it needs to be mounted in the end of the intake. It would work fine if you just zip-tied it near the filter, but it was not designed to pick up ambient temp. It needs to measure flowing air.I drilled a hole in the end of the intake and mounted it with some gasket sealer.

zip tied mine a few inches from the filter. this should give a pretty accurate air temp reading.

I had mine there

I had mine zip-tied near the filter, but when I had my car at the dealership, the nissan mechanic told me that it would not work as well there and I needed to move it. So I just put it in the end of the intake.

Does a standard cone intake void the factory warranty? What about a CAI?

If the JWT comes with a place to mount the sensor, I didn't get the right one b/c there is no place on mine. Interesting though b/c I thought they were exactly the same and the JWT costs less. I would consider this an important detail, although the fix seems easy enough. Thanks for all the feedback.

Right now mine is zip tied to an open bracket on the strut tower. I know this is not right so gotta go change it right now. Maybe zip tie it to the outside of the filter itself.

I zip tied it to another electrical part which is on the front side of the strut tower right by the filter. The car runs just fine, but I would feel better if the sensor was more protected. The sensor has a tiny electrode under the plastic hoop that looks like it could be damaged easily. This bugs me. I am going to look into mounting it into the end of the filter, but only if I can in a clean, professional way that is easily removable for servicing the filter.

I agree, it's gotta be done correctly or NOT

Well for now it's zip tied just outside the filter housing furthest from the engine and next to the strut tower. But that's gotta change for me - I just got this thing and cannot accept it as is. I bought a part specifically designed for my car and I'm being asked to rig it on...I don't think so --- I don't need this mod that bad.

From what I found out today, no, JWT does not have an opening for the air intake temp sensor. Drill an opening!
