hey guys, i'm jus wonderin which kind of tailights u perfer... cuz i know tat couple of my friend doesn't like altezza cuz it'll make people think tat i'm a "ricer"... but there isn't red/clear tails for max 95-96 and i'm desperate to clear the tails out... should i get the altezza or i should wait for custommaxima's red/clear tails?

 

you are gonna get mixed reactions and then told to do what you like best. i have altezza's. i like them. depends on the color of your car and such. look at pics of both on your color car and decide for yourself. don't let others pressure you to what you like on your car! goodluck and nice job, 95's rule!

I have black chrome altezzas and I like them. I do like the look of red/clears better, but I do not like the difference between the two clears after modifying 97-99 tails. That is why I choose these. The new gen 2 altezzas look cool in black chrome too. My homepage has pics of my altezzas.

 

I just bought some carbon fiber gen 2 altezzas for my '99. These are awesome, I didn't like gen 1 altezzas or red clears. These just look great. I will probably take pictures this weekend with my friend's camera and post em. Just depends on what you like.

 

red/clears are the shiet... not an altezza fan, sorry guys.

Personally I never liked Gen 1 Altezza's, but the Gen2 CF are pretty cool, but I'll stick with my red/clear's.

red/clears are classic and just look good. altezza's are played out. just like when all clears where in, everybody got the. than altezzas came out and now everybody has them. if you want to do something different, shave the tail lights of another car into yours...

I for the altezza but it depends on what color your Max is. I got a silver Max and personally think they look really good and no I do not think it makes my car a ricer.

Do what you think you will like because its your car, look at other Max for comparison, check out my altezza, click on my homepage to see for yourself.

There are many people out there will think differently, postive or negative wether you choose to get clear or altezzas or any other mods.
Mods are what will make your car different and unique in a good way.If we all have the same opinions and point of views on mods than all of max will look the same, how boring would that be?

 

ok, i have some altezzas but i was looking for white red ones for a 95-96 and there is NONE. SO i had no choice. Plus, i have a white car and it kinda matches. I like the look, but me too, i thik they are PLAYED out. TOo bad.

but i have an alternative, im gonna paint around the circles to make it match the skyline front bumper. Its gonna look like an r33 rear. Even seen the sexima projec, thats what i plan to do. But its up to you. If u dont want to be a ricer,paint them altz or get Rcler.

 

I have black chrome gen1 altezza on my green max 95 and let me tell you that I'm proud of them.They look really good actually. Red/clear are kinda too simple and people that don't cars well won't even notify you changed your tails. Well that's what I think, I know a lot of people don't think that way and I respect them.

 

red/clears just look a lot cleaner and professional, like the back of them civics...altezza's look like you're trying to hard... BASICALLY

i have altezza's...the regular chrome gen 1's...i like(d) em alot, but after a year i got used to em too much, and hate the way they look now...i have red/clears, but they are warped so they dont fit perfectly, but they are SEXY....much better looking in my opinion 10 fold....ill be getting a new pair of red/clears this weekend, and letting my altezza's go for $90 (that poor soul ), so im happy

I THINK THEY BOTH LOOK COOL. RED/CLEAR OR ALTEZZA. PICK THE ON YOU LIKE. I HAVE ALTEZZAS BUT I'D GET RED/CLEARS ALSO. EVEN THE STOCK LIGHTS LOOK GOOD. I LIKE "NADIR_S" TAILLIGHTS ALSO, THOSE ARE SICK. I KNOW THEY'RE JUST PAINTED BUT THEY ARE COOL. BUT DO WHAT YOU WANT.

 

i have the altezza gen2CF and i think they look great, especially since my car is black. i see a lot of people with maxima's around here but none that are modded, so i wanted mine to stand out from the 40year old lady driving her maxima if i could do it all over again i would get red/clears though, they look real sexy and fit the car so nicely. just find what you like, that is what is going to make you happy

 

Yea... mecca's right. Altezza's look like you're trying to make your car look good, whereas the red/white just look like they belong on the car. Altezzas look very out of place on Maximas.

 

i guess everyone has different taste, but i'm gonna go ahead try out the altezza on my black max 95... and wait until custommaxima for red/clear tails, so i can get a feel of both =)

 

hey rice fob, are you gonna buy it from a store or from somone on the org. Buy it here, there are a lot of people selling altezzas. And they sell it for like 95 instead of the 250 that i paid!!
here one example, i dont know if hes still selling but altezzas 95-96

I have black chrome altezza gen1 and I think they look nice. But I also like the clear/red but I have a 96 and anyway I want my car to stand out more than the common civic or accord or any other of a million cars that have red/clear. With red/clears no one can even tell you modded your car and for $195 they better damn well know

 

You can tell you just can't pinpoint why it looks better. When I shaved the emblems off the back of my Max a lot of people asked what I did to the rear end because it looked a lot cleaner. Same if you look at a BMW. The five and three sereies rear ends got a slight make over with red clears. IT looks so much better but you can't quite pinpoint what it is unless you really know your cars, same with the Acura TL's.

Get the red/clears, there so much cleaner, it's about making your car look better and cleaner, not about putting pretentious parts on your car so people will look at it.

I must say that I do like the red/clear tails, however I have CF Gen2's on my 99se (black) and they do not look out of place at all they blend nice with the color of the car. They don't make me think rice when I see them. They are just nice. Granted I have red/clear tails too, but those wont be going back on till I need a tail light replaced.

i'd like to make an attempt and clear out my tails, but i'm afraid of not getting a good seal and getting condensation like i already get in my d/c's up front.
spending over 2 bills for red clears is a bit over my budget.

Please get red/clear tails, IMO they look 10000x better. IMO, stock looks better than altezzas. Why would you put something named after another car on your car? The only part from another car I would ever consider putting in my car, too bad it doesn't fit, is a part called the RB26DETT. I'm not a big fan of "Hey, check out these S15 headlights I molded into my civic." I'm a big fan of "Hey, I bored out my engine and got light rims and it dropped my ET by 0.5." How about getting an intake or ypipe with the money instead of altezzas?

IR (in reality) why don't I see the people that are SCed or turboed or NAed-out running low 14s have altezzas?

Red/clear tails are like a classic piece of furniture, it never goes out of style. Altezzas are the flavor of the month.

 

I would have a set of red/clears if there were good quality manufactured ones out there for my 95. And I am sorry, Altezzas I ageree look trendy, even tacky, but home made red clears look simply that, home made.. Custom maxima.com keeps delaying the release of their red clears, so i patiently await with my admitttedly tacky (but better looking than stock 95-96) Euros (Altezza's). If my max was a 97-99 i would not have even wanted to change my tails.

 

Some may look homemade depending on who makes them. My red/clear tails that where made by DavidL look like OEM equiptment. They are good quality tails.
