Anyone here put this shift ****...



...on their '97 SE 5-speed, or other year 5-speeds?? This is the AE shift ****. The pic is of MegaMax's '01 AE 5-speed.

I was just curious if anyone has done it because I want to put one on my next car!! It's always good to plan ahead. It would match good with the JT Aluminum Kit, which I also plan on installing.

Also, if anyone has pics of this **** in a 4th gen, please post them, especially if you have the JT kit. I'd really like to see a visual!!

 

A good friend of mine had it in is Maxima (which was just wrecked)but he doesn't have any pics of it...actually it looks really good and mine is on order from South Point as we speak. The only thing is that i heard that it is a b**** to get the stock **** off, I haven't tried yet.

Here are my thoughts on it -

I don't have the alum dash kit, but the shift **** is not as silver as I would have liked. The plate is plastic, and is more grey than anything.

I also think that this shift **** is taller. I have a STS installed, so I didn't mind the taller shifter ( it was actcually a good thing ). I would say that it is a quarter to a half inches taller than the stock shift ****.

All in all it was worth the $50 that I spent for it. Its nicer than that stock GXE ****, and its cheeper than the SE ***** where.
