Y-Pipe or MEVI first??

This spring I'm planning on getting of these 2 mods for my 5 spd, which one do you guys recomend or be more beneficial for me to get first? I'll have money for at least buying one of these but hopefully I'll come up with more so I can get both.

go for the y.

or put 1/2 down to get the VI process started, and then buy a y-pipe to hold you over till it gets here.

i ordered both around the same time. life is nice when you have spare cash . if i didn't have money for both, i would go y-pipe first. good luck. don't order ss wpspd y if you don't wanna wait like 1.5 months

put ur stock intake on, dyno, put the MEVI on, then dyno, and share with the forum what kind of gains the MEVI gets by itself

Yeah get the MEVI so we can get some numbers on what an otherwise stock 4th gen can do with just the MEVI.

Which one to get first? I don't think it matters much one way or the other. You'll get more HP gain from the MEVI, but not much more than what the y-pipe has to offer. The MEVI will flatten out your torque curve over a wide range of RPMs, making it very noticeable in daily driving. The y-pipe will provide more power, but mostly in the higher RPM range. You have to put your foot into it, and rev all the way to redline before you shift to extract the most enjoy from the y-pipe. I guess this is a matter of personal taste...

These two items happen to be part of a performance package: intake, throttle body, intake manifold, y-pipe, hi-flow cat, and cat-back exhaust system. Upgrade any of these, and you'll get a gain in HP. Upgrade them all, and the whole will be greater than the sum of its parts... Have fun with it.
