Has anyone here ever got a ticket for a sticker going across the top of their windshield? My boy "NY96MAXSE" got one the other day and was forced to take it off... I, on the other hand, beat all those tickets a while ago in court and kept mine on. What are your verdicts people?

It depends on just how much of the windshield the banner actually covers...not sure about the exact distance. if you stay within in the tinted sunstrip that car comes with, you should be alrite though. i work for the sherrifs office and the deputies at work told me that they won't pull someone over for having too large a banner. but they will tack on the ticket if the driver commited a major traffic violation (speeding, running a red). they also said it makes the car a lot more noticible to be pulled over. i think it has to do with the individual cop or judge...

Yea in NJ, its legal to a certain point. On most cars, on the edge, there is a little marking (line or a notch)that indicates nothign can go below it. I have Maxima across my window and i haven been bugged so far.

Riggy-i have 25% or 30% (light smoke) up front and have yet to be bothered. Cops can see right thourhg mine w/o problems. I kinda found that out when i got pulled over and ticketed foir a seatbelt violation and it led to a big *** search of this and that and blah blah and arrests and yadi yadi.

I bought mine down at Seaside (Sleez-Side) for $15 or so. It's a vinyle cut sticker. Mine is in 187 writing where my "A"'s are upside down.

Nine-the shop is right on the boardwalk, towards the end where all the rides are and whatnot. I forgot what its called but they have everything there and can make custom stickers and all. Are you in NJ Nine?
