when my cel first came on I checked the codes and the KNOCK SENSOR and ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR(ECTS) came on ,

so i reset it , then the KS code came on with the rear O2 sensor and the ECTS code disapperered, so I rest it again

Then the KS code came on with the front right O2 sensor code ,
so I reset it again and the KS and the rear O2 sensor came on
SO finally I changed the KS and rest the ecu

Now after I changed My KS, the KS code came back on with the ECTS code

Now my question is which one should I change
Front O2 sensor?
rear O2 sensor?
ECTS?

Also is there any reason why my KS code came back, I changed it a week ago(BTW even though i changed the KS i still dont feel any differnce in power or gas milege)

I know reading this thread is more confusing than I am on what to do
but i greatly appreciate any advice

thanks for any info

We told you a few days back to change the Engine Coolant Temp Sensor and reset the ECU first and not to change the KS or the O2's didn't we??

Forgive me if your not the same member.

So you went and changed the KS anyhow and now your back where you started from. NICE!

1) CHANGE THE ENGINE COOLANT TEMP SENSOR!

2) RESET THE ECU

3) IF THE O2 COMES BACK, CHANGE IT.

4) NEXT TIME LISTEN TO US THE FIRST TIME.

Yeah thats the order i would do it too. The o2 sensors are most likely tripped from the coolant problem. That actually happened on my old engine.

knock sensor would be the last thing i changed unless it was the only code i got. o2 sensors usually trip knock sensor codes

Out of curiosity, the ECTS has been sited as causing hard starts when bad. DO you have this problem?

Hey I wouldn't sweat replacing the KS. So many of us with 95/96's have done so. I think it's just a forgone conclusion that that these things will go bad...
