as horrible as those neons look, dodge is producing a a performance neon, supposed to run a 1/4 in 12?

 

yeah It would probably start leaking oil from the head gasket at 35k miles just like all their 2.0 - 2.4 engines. pieces of crap. I rather have my not so fast maxima but very reliable.

 

all i gotta say is that i think "rice" isnt altezzas at all because altezzas look better on a max than any other car(except altezzas), especially when u paint the chrome your car color. And "RICE" to me, is just a giant, i mean, super giant wing on a slow asssssz civic, or on a truck. I saw a truck with a super duper giant wing, looked just like the one from the eclipse in FastandFurious. Or trucks with altezzas???? WHat the hell, i mean, are they rice or is the rice mixed with beans and a buttito.


How come no one talks about beaned out maximas. U know, maximas that are super beaned and have flames painted on the sides, and taco bell racing stickers. Has anybody seen these before?

 

My definition of rice... A toyota matrix pulls up to me today at a traffic light. I think its a cool looking car I have no problem with it. The guy opens the windows and spits his gum out next to my car. Then revs his exhaust which sounds like a fart can SERIOUSLY!!!! NO JOKE!!! I think he just put a POS muffler on his stock exhaust. I have no problem with upgrading the exhaust and I did it to my max but putting a fart "can" just to sound cool is RICE. Btw, I was going to kill em but he went on the redlight before it turned green and I didn't care to follow.

I think if it makes your car look good its not rice. But if your trying to make your car look fast or sound fast thats Rice. Try making it go fast first!

I've seen two around UCLA. One with a wing and one with a fart-can. I think they qualified as rice.

 

I bought my 95 SE at the end of my senior year. Throughout my time watching this whole ricer thing happen I was always a vocal critic of all of the dumb looking ricers that pack a bunch of styling accesories and those annoying coffee can sized mufflers but nothing under the hood to back it up. I guess I shouldnt take your comments too seriously seeing as though Im not the average "HS-aged moron", but I just needed to give my two cents anyway. Plus my 95 SE/5 speed with around 78K miles wasnt exactly cheap, but I did pay for it myself.

rice isnt big giant wings and altezzas. Maximas can never be rice unless they have flames. Maximas are meant for luxury and comfort. Other than that, maximas are nice cars which is above any rice rocket. Even though, you cant call a maxima rice because its just not slow enough to be rice. It can back that azz up. A maxima with a skyline body kit is "NOT!" rice because it matches it and can back it up in a race. But rice my friends, are not maximas, Not ever, but rice is civic, rice is accord, rice is an integra, rice is a del sol, rice is, neon, rice is all these if they got no engine mods. Rice is never rice if its backed up.

i am 100% agreeeed with you men,those civic has 95hp with big giant wings and altezzas and fart-can muffler are rice to me,they prolly think they can fly with those mods.they can't even past the towncar,they got nothing to back them up,not the max with big giant wings and altezzas,because it has the power to back it up,

 

A max can be rice, just like other fast cars such as Camaros and Mustangs can be rice. Just this weekend I saw a Z28 with altezzas (on a red car ), dragon graphics on the side, and a big white vinyl strip across the windshield. It would of handed me my ****, but it was still rice. Domestic rice at that. Rice has NO boundries.

 

It would be one thing if the max came in a 2 door setup, then there might be a problem with younger people getting one, but most kids think: "4 door car, slow car". I wouldn't worry to much, mainly because hondas have more aftermarket support than we do and you can mod them for way cheaper. BTW your sig pic is sick.

 

My car has a fart can on it, It doesn't sound like one, but it has the look, at first it was tucked under the bumper to give it a more stock apperance but when they cut out my resonator it moved the muffler down about 2 inches and now you can see the canister along with the tip. It makes the rear end of the car look horrible. I think a greddy evo would really make the car look better but I've already spent my money on other things so I guess my car will just have to look like rice for now.

no,the Rx7 in fast and furious, and 300ZX TT with a j spec wing are not rice, they had the power to back them up,a stock matric with 180hp and sentra ser spec V with 175hp are not rice also,just the one less than 100hp with big giant wings and altezzas and fart-can muffler are rice to me,

 

My muffler just broke...am I now rice? I get it repaired Thursday. Had to order the parts. My son (2 years old) keeps telling me "the muffler is loud daddy". Can't imagine having a loud exhaust all the time. Strangely enough at the extreme top of the rpm band it does seem to pull a little better. Eh, maybe its the sound

In my opinion your car can be ricey if 1: The wing is functional
2. You have the *****/power to back it up 3. You like being laughed at by people who know whats up. See the thing is, a lot of people out there don't care if their car is fast, they just want it to "look good" so they go to Pep Boys, buy all the APC **** they can find and stick it on their car. Also a lot of those cars out there are in stages of production, large sums of money don't come out of nowhere to most people and so they pick what direction they want to mod their car in. They start with looks and then go to performance. Some of these cars may still be in the looks part and not on to performance yet. But then again there are some really dumb people out there and there are some really dumb cars out there too. Anyone else notice how girls are starting to catch on to the Ricey stuff? Oh those altezza's look so cute!! lets go put some on my cavalier.........

 

Haha yup i saw a BMW with a set of altezzas on the 405 freeway no joke. I have altezzas too but a maxima is an import. BMW in the import scene= degrading

maximas are getting ricey if you all like it or not. The more cheaper the 4th gen is becoming. More high school students will buy it and try to tune it up. At least they have another choice other than a civic hehe.

 

I was out in Hershey a week ago and saw a max with Altezza’s. That alone is bad enough but I was completely appalled when I noticed a large silver weed leaf sticker on the gas tank door. Hi, officer! Care to search my car? Here’s your probable cause.

 

my dad's 91 towncar is pretty quick, and my bro's 92 grand marquis accelerates almost the same, if not faster than my 95maxima.

 

my friend had a 92 towncar that's in mint condition,new complete tune up,wires,coils,and flush injection,my 96se auto walk him every time,

 

Actually, I kinda doubt some of the cars in the F&F are very fast. A lot of show cars, are well, show cars. Some show cars happen to be fast, but most aren't driven and are probably not tuned properly.
