Speed limiter

Read the FAQ and discovered which wire feeds the ECU the speed info, putting a switch in is a good idea for those limited times you want to go fast, however, what feeds the ECU? I realize the speedo output is where it comes from but does it go thru the gauge cluster first (to feed speedo) or is it a direct wire from the speed sensor to the ECU. The reason I ask is could it be possible to replace a GXE gauge package with an SE package and therefore eliminate the problem? I do not have a good wiring diagram.

You got a good question. I would get a Haynes Manual..their wiring diagrams are good if you know what your doing. I think someone has put in a switch on the board. Try to search for that, and get info from them.
