progress w/kyb gr2...good combo??

hey all~~~

i was wondering if the progress springs and kyb gr2 struts are a good quality combo...i dont plan to go all out racing so i wanted to stick with a more affordable gr2...and i also want a good drop with close to stock ride quality...and i was thinkin progress...what are ur inputs on this decision?? is the drop on progress too low for the gr2 to handle?? i was also considering h&r, but i've seen a few complaints about the stock looking drop...i clearly want a good drop with stable ride quality...well thanx for reading and advice would be appreciated...peace

I like it.

Well, I have this combo and I like it. Sorry no pics. But I've had it for about 4 months now and I haven't had any problems. It isn't the biggest drop but good enough for me. Then again, I do have the Aero Kit. I wouldn't want it any lower. At first I wanted to get it a little lower (when I didnt have the kit) but now I wouldn't want it any lower. The ride is very near stock. Never had any complaints in that area. Of course it won't be like it was but I think this is the closes you can get to it.

I think H&R has a slightly lower drop. The gr2 should be able to handle those springs (think some on the org have that setup) and if you're not looking to add any kit you should go with them. Just my 2 cents.

I don't have the exact same set-up you're looking at but it's pretty simliar (Progress/KYB AGX). The Progress springs have a drop of 1.7" (front) an 1.5" (rear). Incidentally, KYB's GR2 and AGX shocks are warranteed up to 1.5".

I've got a few pre and post-drop pictures on my cardomain site.

I have had the progress springs on my max for over 2 years now... I love the ride. My stock struts are just now starting to go so I have the GR2's sitting in my family room wating for intstall. Im sure my ride will be even better than when the stocks were in good shape. I love the drop on the progress. I never scrape on anything. Ive had seveal comments on how they ride and the drop.
