0304 KS code

Hey

i got really bad mileage and i check the ecu for codes... i first i got a 0304 and 0707 rear o2 sensor code. I resetted the ecu and got only the 0304 code. Now everytime i check my ecu i only get the 0304 code. What do u guys recommend me change ?

Take care of the O2 sensor first, that may be trigering the knock sensor code.

O2 sensor first! Wait a week or so and see if the O2 code comes back. If it does, save your $$ and don't change the KS, change the O2 sensor, reset and see what happens.

The O2 sensor may not be reading correctly causing your car to run to rich ro lean, causing the knock itself setting the KS code.

Make sense?

The KS is more than likely bad because the ECU looks at only the front two o2 sensors to manage the engine. I had the same two codes and only replaced the KS with no trouble. Even after installing a Y-pipe, cat, and B-pipe without replaced the o2 sensor I still haven't had any problems or codes, except 0505.

Does the amount of octane gas u use affect the knock sensor. I didnt fill up my car last time my dad did and i am not sure what kinda gas he put in should i wait to c if the KS code comes up when i put 91 octane gas in ?

Dam they sell 91 octane. Here in NYC I always use 93 octane, never go cheap on my baby.
