Rear red corner lights - your thoughts

I've never seen this covered before, and I searched...

What do you all think of those weird small red corner lights on outside rear tail-lights?

When I cleared my tails, I realized that those lights existed (bought the car used), but my bulbs were burned out. I replaced both, and I'm not sure if I like having them or not. They seem pretty stupid, except go contrast with the yellow sidemarker up front, when viewing the car from the side. What do you guys think? Do yours work? Do they only exist on 97+ or something?

yeah ladeesman, those lights in your sig look almost too good to be true.. if theyre not photoshopped, do you mind telling us what light bulbs youre using up front?

I bought the Polarg red 194 wedge bulb, which is a direct replacement for the stock bulb, but red. I have had it on for awhile, but don't know if I'm sold yet.

I had the plain white in for awhile too, until I was told it was Illegal b/c it looked like reverse lights. The only alternative is to get those red bulbs, which I have, or just take them out.

It's not that bad, but everyone is right, with the red bulb in, there are two types of red in the rear.... it's all a matter of preference.

I have red/clear tails, but do not have bulbs in those 2 sockets. I think it looks better without them lit up at night.

you just did the same rewire as you would for the front side marker and blinker, no biggy!

NP man and it wasn't you who postwhored...
If I didn't aspire to ny96max's car so much, I'd probably complain .

I like your sig too... I have yet to get over 100 mph, and I love the lights too.

I think I'm going to take those bulbs out, or at least rewire them so they aren't on all the time. They just kill the smoothness of the rear lights at night.

right, but the normal sidemarker/blinker only works if you have the parking lights on, correct?
