A workmate has, as his toy car, a 1984 Trans AM 5.0 liter H.O. It's a 305 with a 5 speed. It is actually an awesome looking car. 40K on it and perfect condition. Anyways, he drives it occasionly to work and we raced briefly on a road near our work. We were right together at the start but I started pulling once I hit around 45 or 50. I called it once I hit 65 in a 35. It was just for fun because he didn't know for sure the power of the max. It's cool that people at work now respect it. My cousin might need some similar persuasion. He has a 86 Z28 Auto with a 351 though. Little worried about it. Just thought I'd post.

351 should beat you pretty good. (I think you man 350 though). No replacement for displacement. The 305 was kind of a weak engine.
