today i finally filled up my gas tank and just with starting the car i could feel a stronger roar coming out the exhaust. Atleast from inside, you could tell the car was a lot louder. Also, when driving home in the rain, i put the heat on and this deeper tone came through my car. I do have an aftermarket y-pipe, exhaust, b-pipe and u think this is the reason why its louder???

oh, i'm not complaining just stumbled upon something new i found out and wanted to share....i like the deeper sound

 

When you put your A/C on the compressor kicks in and that puts a load on the engine. Your IACV opens slightly to compensate and keep your idle up there. So basically, yes the car may sound louder because your engine is working harder.

 

ahh, gotcha, but what about due to gas? my car sounds a lot louder with full tank vs almost empty. Is this because car is heavier so it uses more power to pull??

lol, touche, it probably does, i have to test that out but yet it might just be my imagination....
