Never a good idea to buy a car from family like that. Save up/Get a loan, and buy it on your own outright. Problem solved.

Well, consider it a lesson learned the hard way.

You never answered, why did he take the car away. Did you deserve it?

This is always why I never wanted to loan the money from my parents for a cr or anythign like that I would not have complete control and would have that feeling of debt to them surrounding me.

Maybe if you learned to spell and compose yourself, your dad wouldn't think you were too stupid to drive...

It might also make it possible to get a job that pays more than minimum wage.

Simple way around this problem with an automatic:

steal his spare key. Keep all keys on lockdown yourself

hehe my uncle once told my cousin he was taking his car away and later heard my cousin on the phone saying that when they left for the weekend he was taking it out anyhow. My cousin thinking he was outsmarting them went to take the car that next morning to find the distributer gone.

That's pretty evil

A follow up to my "Just take the spare key and keep your keys hidden" post...my parents wanted to ground me from my 85 Accord (Se-i, baybee) back in the day, since I didn't buy the car...

I happened to have the spare on me, and of course had my keys...I dangled the keys in front of my mom and said "Ground me from what? How do you plan on enforcing that?" ...and proceeded out tha do'.

Never heard anything about being grounded from the car after that

(Course, they coulda picked a lock & popped the hood from that point, but...)
