?'s about turn signal/side marker light mod

I've just got fed up with burning all kinds of fuses trying to rewire side markers everytime I tried it would blow turn signal and hazards fuse anybody have this problem? The instructions said cut ground to corner and splice it to power wire to blinkers.

I have a pics of my "rewired" foglights and at the end, i have a short 800kb video of the "rewired" turn signals.
