Help Check Engine Light won't go off

Help Check Engine Light won't go off

Before you start telling me to check the thread above about ECU. I already did. My check engine light came on and i tried to reset the ECU, but it still has not gone off. Whats goin on. Can anybody help me. Thanks a lot

The light came on because I unpluge the resistor on the left front strut tower to see how the shifting was when it was unpluged, but now the damn light won't go off

i know your trying to help, but i said in my first post that i was already was there. I have already tried reseting the ECU, but the light is still not going off

Oops my bad! Well you reconnected the wire and reset the ECU and it's still not working? Maybe try disconnecting the battery?

when you reset it, did you hold the screw for more than 2 seconds?

possibly, i thought it was 2 sec.

The light is still on
I have:
1. Reconnected Resistor
2. Reset ECU
3. Dissconnected the Battery
I guess when i get a chance I'll take in to the shop.

So you didn't get a code when you tried? Or have you? How do you know you don't have another problem elsewhere preventing the light from going off?

Another thing to try might be to leave the battery disconnected overnight...
