Should I go to Vortech or local shop to fix the V2?

I just spoke with a guy whose shop fixes turbo's and superchargers this morning and he said he could help fix the V2. He just came back from a convention and has more connections on the Vortech products. I found him in the Yellow Pages under Turbochargers.

Now my problem right now is that I can Fedex it today or have this guy fix it for me. The downside to sending to Vortech is the exchange rate, the GST tax on the repair work and the cost of footing the courier costs both ways. I'm looking at roughly $120 Cdn to send it international and insured for $1800US.
The downside to having the local guy do it is I don't know of his experience with Vortech products.

What should I do, guys?

Is simple remove the blower yourself and send it to Vortech. Shipping cost for sending the blower should not run you over $40 one way. At least you know that Vortech built it and if anything happens you can call them back. Travel time should not be that long you live in Wa state and cali is on your side of the US not unless you moved to Canada.

I've always been north of the border from WA. I decided to FedEx it today. It'll get to Vortech Thursday. Cost me $107Cdn one way and insured for $1800USD.

I fedexed my blower next day air. I got it back in ten days exactly. I only called them one time to give them my card number to charge the replacement of the blades and seals.
