anyone who has gone and purchased the valve body mod for auto tranny...please tell me before and after...do you lose ride quality due to quicker shifts? harsh?

I agree.

The shift points definitely need some work. When your getting on it you can't tell but when driving around town it wants to lug down. You gotta hit the gas harder to get it to downshift. Other than that I am very pleased with the mod.

Don's vb

I've had Don's vb in the car for a long time now, and I've been satisfied since day one. While it was indeed pricey, one of the few beefs I had with the car prior to the valve body was the soft shifting. I no longer have that beef. While I cannot say that I have experienced the downshifting issues the others above have reported, I have observed that the car shifted harder on both partial and full throttle. The part throttle harder shifting was a bit of an annoyance at first, but it doesn't bother me much now. While I cannot say that I experienced a half-second reduction in quarter mile times, I can say that the quicker shifts have come in handy in the random street confrontation.
