I'm not sure about Alpine, but I had to get an adapter for my Pioneer headunit.

I know I had to get a wire harness (adapter) for my Kenwood.
Just get a wire harness from your local audio store (i.e. Circuit City, etc.) Should only be around 8 bucks.

All of them will fit...

Some fit better than others. If you go to crutchfield.com, they will list the units that best fit the maxima. I believe the maxima is best to go with a "J" (japanese), "I" (iso), and "DD" (double din). I went with a "E" (european din), I really wanted the day and night top model Panasonic for its features and good price. I did the install myself and customized the installation to make it fit.

I had an alpine in mine and it fit fine. All you will need is the wiring harness.

If you get a new head unit, other than bose, you need to bipass the bose amps or replace the bose speakers. If not, they will be way over powered. example: volume 4 will be blasting and volume 10 will blow out the speakers
