I can't believe my eyes!!!

Last week I raced my friend's brand new stock 2002 Maxima GLE auto. I have a 95 gxe auto with just intake and 17s. He had one passenger with him and I was alone. From 0-55mph we were neck to neck, I swear to God. Then from 15-60 he was less than a foot ahead. I bet if he was alone he would've spanked me bad but I'm still happy that a caught up with a 255hp car!!

I just had to let you guys know that 4th and 5th gen autos can be pretty close.

His friend must weigh a lot. You shouldn't have won.

I have seen an 02 auto run a 14.5 with just an intake. Makes it hard to believe.

He didn't say he won, he just says he didn't get totally spanked. Could it be that his "less than a foot" was really like half a car length or something? Is the auto 02 all THAT much faster than the auto 4th gens, so much so that he should have gotten ripped?

I didn't say that I won. But I swear on my life the first run we were right next to each other from 0-55ish. I asked him if he was flooring it all the way and he said yes. Then I told the other kid to get out of his car so we can race fairly but he didn't want to. So we raced again from 15 to about 65 and he won by what SEEMED to be a bumper length(or a foot). If you think I'm lieing fine. I really don't have any time to sit one my computer and make up lies. I just wish that I had my digital cam with me.

And I really don't think he was messing with me because think about--why would he want to make it look like he lost when he can beat me? We were talking about the race almost all night.

And you guys can stop the corny remarks: he had 24" chromes; intake added 50hp; intake was really a sc

I'll tell you guys what I'm gonna record my engine bay, his engine bay, and then our race. I'll put it up here and then you'll see aright.

guys, guys, why do u have to give him sh*t. u can automatically assume he is lying. although its unlikely for a 4th gen auto w/ intake to take a stock 2k2 auto, its still possbile. ANYTHING is possible in street racing. like emgerald said, maybe the 2k2 just got a bad launch and spun and he got a good one, they only raced until 55. theres just way to many factors to consider here, u can assume he is lying, thats not to fair to him.

maybe it depends on the driver and how each drove their car...

try switching cars and see if you smoke him and then you'll know if it's the driver or if something is wrong with his car.

skeelo34 on this org has a 5 speed converted 96 GLE with hybrid intake and a few handling mods and swears he beat a 2k2 AUTO fair and square, but the other guy had a few people in the car...

It is totally possible. Ive seen it all, and the bottom line was a Civic EX with 4 people in it and only 3PSI EAT an NSX...
Also b4 that Civic got turboed it was eating 5.0s.
But yeah, it mostly depends on the driver, and some on the car. I mean you can race 2 identical cars, and one will win...

It's believeable that a 4th gen 5-speed beat a 02 auto. Much more than a 4th gen auto beating a 02 auto.

Really, how much driving ability is involved with an auto?
