97-99 Headlight Question

Are the turn signal lights next to the headlights on a 97-99 Maxima the same as the 95-96? I know the headlights are different but are the turn signals?

Thanks

Turn Signals are the ones on the bumper. The ones right next to the headlight are your clearance lights. The answer is YES to both. Just in case you were wondering. Lates

The ones next to the headlights is what I am talking about not the orange lights. I guess I called them the wrong thing. If they are different, what is the difference, appearance? I would like to see a picture to tell if the difference is noticable or nothing to worry about.

Thanks

I don't think that there is a difference.

They're actually known as parking lights.

All the 95-99 models used 1157 bulbs in them. These are dual filament bulbs.

In the 95-96 models, when you used your turn signal, the parking light would shift into high so you could see better in the direction you're turning.

Apparently Nissan removed this feature in 97-99 models. So the extra filament is basically going unused there. People have found ways to rewire these lights so they are on high all the time though.

You can find directions in the 4th gen FAQ and maybe the 5th gen How To sections. Also available on www.Maximadriver.com in the How To section.

yeap just chop the nub off closer to the bulb and then put them back in, if they arent bright, spin them around 180 degrees and try again
