The swap or the recalibration?

As far as I know Don in Texas is the only guy who's found a good way to recalibrate the thing and put it back together in a working order (well enough so he sells it hehehe) .. Taking it out is pretty easy, just a drain fluid/removal operation I believe. I've heard putting it in is a little more difficult but I'm not too sure

Removing the VB and replacing it with one that Don has recalibrated is not hard. Drain the fluid, remove the pan, let it drip about 20 min.,remove wires, then VB drops out. Reverse order for install.
Recallibrating it yourself with the Trans-Go kit is more difficult. Once the VB is out as described above, follow Trans-Go's provided instructions on replacing certian parts and reassemble. I hope this helps.

Can you be more specific as to what the Trans-Go instructions say? Did you have to drill anything?

The instructions are very thouough and have photos to accompany them. You have to drill in 5 places, only one of which is a little tricky. It basically involves changing springs and drilling holes.
