Anyone who has added a factory spoiler to their car check in please....

.. I recently bought a factory wing for my GXE. I got all the mounting hardware but no template for the installation...

I am not sure about this but I am supposing it is included?

I want to know where to drill the holes exactly.. so i don't miss anything

is there anyone here who used theirs already and still has it, willing to send it to me for a small $ or tell me what it is / what it says or what it looks like??????

thanks, I really appreciate it

i installed one on mine...there wasn't a template with my spoiler either. What i did was screw in the bolts part way and line it up. Once I figured out where I wanted the spoiler, I used a black marker and marked where the bolts were...then I drilled and installed.

unless you're totally sure of what you're doing i'd say just take it to a body shop. Mine only cost $65 to have installed and thats a small price to pay for the peace of mind that you're not taking a risk of messing up your trunk

yea, the rear deck light is coming off then.. the spoiler has a brake light.

I've seen this done before, it's pretty easy if you make sure of the measurements. I will go over the holes 10 times to be absolutely positive of where to drill.. Not worth 65$ if it can be done for free yourself

the car is black, but a pic wouldn't help much becuase I'd need a lifesize template that I can apply.. seeing where the holes are won't help that much. But thanks anyways..

Sprinty,
my GXE stayed in the family.. and I happened to score on an already painted, new, black OEM wing on ebay for 85$ =) plus the GXE is almost an SE:

thanks!

so is it 8 bolts in total? I'm seeing 2 holes for the outer sides.. 2 on the inside on one part and 3 on the inside of the other (is the extra one for the 3rd brake light?)?

hey bro, if you DO decide to get it done professionally, hit up Pearl96Max, he's done it before and he can do it for you for less than 65 dollars. I won't throw out a price but being u are a fellow org member, and it's not THAT hard to install, he should cut u a break...see how much he would charge...
