My leathers look terrible

Partically cause they weren't great when i got the car, and i live in fl without tints so its always really hot in my car and they get way to much sun. Any suggestions? The leathers themselves are pretty much unsavable. What should i do, new seats, leather kit?, i need front and back, any suggestions would be appreciated, + links to websites would be nice if you suggest a leather kit. I was personally thinking of going with a 2 tone leather kit, but i have no clue where to get one for a reasonable price. Any info / input would be appreciated.

Before you buy the new leather seats you could try cleaning the leather and see if it looks any better. Go out and buy some softscrub (without bleach, I use the lemon scented) and a small nylon brush. Then just put some softscrub on and scrub it with the brush, then take the softscrub off with a clean towel. After you're done go over the seats with some leather conditioner. I was amazed how well my seats looked when I got done. No, it doesn't fix the cracks or tears, but they aren't as noticeble when the dirt is out of them.

You could also check the local junkyards, maybe someone got rear-ended and they have good leather seats still.

my major problem is where the leather is sheared off on some places, like on the inside of the front 2 seats (towards the center console. Theres just white fabrick in a big patch thats like 2by 4 inches long. looks like it was leather paint and it just rubbed off.

Those areas are vinyl. Only the "seating surfaces" are real leather.

Never use armoral on leather. It may look good , but it dries it out. Use leather conditioner. Maguires(spelled wrong) is what I use.

I use Meguiars leather conditioning wipes, as well as their bottled stuff every few weeks. My seats are perfect...

I personally never use armorall on any part of my car even on the tires. On my Mitsubishi Eclipse, i use to use it all over and it started cracking up my tires sidewall (i had Pirelli P7), the top side of my door panel.

lexol

lexol.

not using lexol on your leather =

lexol leather cleaner and conditioner is some good ish. it's basically the same as glycerin but a little more friendly to use. =)

Armorall

Is Armorall okay to use on vinyl? I currently use the wipes on my dash, but I don't want to damage it. Let me know.

leather

I threw Katzkin leather in. Its way tighter than stack with real leather on the doors, most Acura and Lexus don't even do that. plus you can get it in a ton of colors, with logos or text on the seats. My leather has 60k and looks as good as it idi new. You might pay a little more for leather, but when you sell your car you can get more for it in the end. I paid around $850 wholesale and it was well worth it. Cleaning messes is way eisier with leather, but I would reccomend tinting your windows as well. Check out www.Katzkin.com

armorall makes the surface too shiney for my liking, I personally prefer vinylex.
I am not sure about the theory behind it, but i've read that you are discouraged from using protectants with silicone in it (like armorall) as the surface may look nice to start off with, but it dries it out much quicker making it prone to cracking.
