Question before I install dead pedal...

hey everybody,
my dead pedal is cut and ready to install, just have a few questions first. does anyone know what is beneath the stock dead pedal and if it's safe to drill into it? i ordered it from Jerry Rome Nissan in W. Springfield, MA from Ken and it was shipped out that day. he was really nice and easy to order from so i highly recomend people order from there. anyways, i've seen others have installed their dead pedals to match the AE pedals, which i also have, and i just wanted to make sure it is safe to drill screws in there. i haven't had the chance yet but maybe i'll just try to pull up the carpet to see what's under there but figured i'd ask cuz someone always has an answer. thanx for any help and i'll post some pics when i'm done.

there is nothing behind it it is just on the carpet pull the carpet back and drill but not to deep use short screws...you don't need much to hold it down....

are you guys thinking of just regular dead pedals or? i mean the one from the z that matches the ae pedals...it's about an inch or so thick...so i don't think tape would do it. but then again, i could be wrong. i was just wondering if there was anything specifically under there i should be careful of drilling into.

Just drill, I had to drill my custom made dead pedal in, and there's nothing back there. At least we didn't hit anything, and I've looked on the other side and there doesn't appear to be anything vital.

Use tap screws. There might even be rubber under the spot for the dead pedal and you wont need to drill into metal.
