What's a decent price for a 99 SE, 5 speed? I'm thinkin of trading in my 92 SE for a 99. A dealer here ( Dallas ) is askin for 21K. Think I can get a better deal?? Thanks for any info. Cheers

There are several on-line used car price references. I like Edmunds.

Edmunds says $21K is too high. Shop around.

I personally wouldn't pay 21k for a '99 SE. For that price you can find a '99 SE Limited.

I paid $23.5K for my 99 5-spd SE brand new, with every option available. So $21 seems awfully high.

Are the SE-L's actually worth more? I didn't think those nifty "Camaro" badges were all that great...

im payin 18G's for a car i bout with 25kmiles
all options except the leather and bose. got it a year ago. looked at KBB and it seemed about right.....
in hindsight i should have bought the 5spd but my baby was sitting there, the only maxima in the lot, and i had to have her, not to mention there was a family rummaging through it as i was negotiating, i knew i had to save it from the horrors of gum in the seats and candy left everywhere, not to mention all that loose change.... now i pause to think.... hmmm the only thing i saved it from was the loose candy and gum in the seats.. although my baby gets to stretch its legs once in a while.

That dealer is crazy

Why don't you get a brand new 2001 GXE 5-speed?

You can get one for around $20,000, if not less.
And nissan is offering great APRs on new cars too.

Just sold my 99SE-L 5 speed with convenience package for $18k even. I thought it was fair. I'd say that between 18 and 19,500 is wheer you should be depending on options. Mine was plain jane w/ sunroof and a 5 speed.
