how do you remove spark plug tube seals?

all my spark plug tube seals are shot on my valve cover. i'm trying to remove the old ones but there stuck there. i can only take them out in little pieces. i want to know if anybody else has done this, and if they had any trouble removing them. i'd rather ask before i continue on, so i don't fudge up anything.

thanks

Do you mean the rubber inserts that carry the spark to the plug are falling apart? They should just pull out..unless I don;t understand your question.

no, i'm talking about the rubber seals that are behind the valve cover. they're in line with the spark plug tube. these seals keep oil out of the spark plug tubes. problem is my seals are all cracked and oil is seaping into the spark plug tubes.

thanks for the help anyways.

if its the small rubber circles on the underside of the valve cover, i'm not sure there is an easy way to do it. 1max2nv is the only one that i know might have done it. when you do get them off, make sure you have the new ones on the right way.

alright, problem solved.

it is very simple. all you have to do is pop them out with a screw driver from underneayh the valve cover. instead of trying to hack it out with a knife.

anyways thanks to Erica and all those who replied.
