I did a search...and I noticed that all the cars mentioned that had the grey/sereno leather interior were either white or sage mist on the outside. Were there ever any black 4th gens produced with the grey leather interior? I would love to find a '97 5spd with black exterior with grey interior and low miles ....for a good deal of course.

i own one. but it is an automatic. it would be the perfect car if it was a 5spd. my car has 62,000 miles on it, and it is a 98 gle.

At my local junkyard they had a black '97 Maxima with dark grey leather seats (heated & powered fronts, rears, and doors) all for $400 in near mint condition. And I mean the whole seat, not just the covers. If I only knew how much they went for, I woulda grabbed them in a heartbeat.

My car's got the Sereno leater interior.
The Sereno color is very interesting. Some people call it gray, while others see it as greenish gray. I see it as greenish gray, and it will fit in well wtith a gray car as well. White?? wow. I've only seen Sereno on sage mist green Maximas.

Interestingly, I bought some weathertech floormats, those indutrial strength mats, in gray. When it arrived, to my happy surprise, it was a greenish gray, perfect for my car

Oh, and to answer your question, I've never seen a black Maxima with gray interior. It was either tan or black. The color matching problem I think, is not with the seats, but with the dash. Black Maximas have black dashes, so the Sereno won't mix well with it. My dash is sereno, so my only choice is the sereno.

EDIT: The Sereno goes really well with the wood accents, doesn't it

yup, i have it! I like it better then the black on black because i think there is too much black, and not enough color diffrences. it makes me happy that i have a rare car... but it tis a automatic . yea, i know i already posted earlyer, but nobody seemed to see it. oh well. here is a pic:

Your PICs have kindof a strong blueish cast on them. Makes everything look blueish. Are the seats gray gray, or sereno gray?

So basically from this post, one can gather that perhaps most if not all black maxes that had the serono/grey leather interior were GLE's, and the SE's remained to be white/sagemist/sterlingmist. I am going to assume that if they offered it on those 3 colors on the SE, that they perhaps added it on all colors of the SE ? I think I did remember seeing a 99 ES 5spd in Ottawa Canada this past summer (btw i couldn't believe how many 5pds there were at that time in this area) with an optional sereno/grey leather interior...but I think my memory is only playing tricks with me. Anyways thanks for the help people.
