Got knock sensor code...

OK. Two days later, no car. Did the ECU self diagnostic. Got 0304 (knock sensor). Used search function, only found two helpful pieces of information; knock sensor alone will not throw the CEL (true?) which did not come on, you can test the KS but since I don't have a car to take my car somewhere I don't really know how to do this. Any help is needed. I think that the KS is not really the whole problem because of the way the car was acting before is got dead. The climate control caused the ABS light to go on, the air bag light briefly, and the radio started messin up. When I turned off the AC everything went back to normal. Next day... DEAD. Explanation? Help? Please!

The consensus is that if you get the KS code and nothing else, your KS is definitely dead.

Would this explain the previous problems? Are they at all related?
