Budget Y-PIPE???????? VS. stillen/cattman???

I have heard of these off and on and was wondering when they were made and came into the scene? How long have these been out? What is it about their Y-PIPE that makes theirs that much cheaper? Is it still better to go with the stillen or cattman? I know stillen and Cattman are expensive but I like the staninless steel effect of the cattman! I don't understand how they can sell their product so underprice and not make stillen or cattman go out? THere has to be something wrong or different with their pipe????

theres nothing wrong with the pipe. the price is 250 in canadian dollars, but with the exchange rate, its 160 in usd. some have complained about bees in can noise, but i hear that the new mandrel bent pipes dont have much problems. go with budget, its not bad at all.

i tried to get my y-pipe installed by a speed shop, and they told me that one of my hangers was broken, and the other was just dangling. he isn't going to put the y-pipe on, and he recommended me to get new hangers before i take it to a muffler shop. anyone have any recommendations??? thanks

Got me? Hangers sounds like something that you would use to support the muffler but I have never heard of them on the y-pipe?

Re: Re: Sounds Good for the Budget!

maybe i have been out of the loop, but it looks like budget has redesigned their pipe, now it has a longer flex section. do you have this new one? is the flex section of budget's latest pipe lined?

bottom line: if i buy budget today, am i guaranteed against "bees in a can?"

Let me get this straight. You want to pay $160 for a T-304 SS pipe delivered and you want a guarantee against bees in a can?

For only $275 and you pay the shipping you can get a Warpsped. They may guarantee no "bees in a can". They also badmouth Budget on their website.

I will guarantee you that Budget won't do that about their competition.

if you think even $160 is a good deal... honestly, it is a pice of pipe, but for needing a mandrel bender and a welding set (which any exhaust shop already has). They are making plenty of money on these parts, if they sell them, and yes, i would expect that even from a measley $160 pipe, that there would be no bees in a can. and i do not respect warpspeed for badmouthing budget, but that says nothing about wether or not i will get bees in a can.

to be honest with you, you are never guaranteed against bees in a can sound when you buy an aftermarket y-pipe. stillen has had it. cattman has had it. wpspd has had it. budget has had it. the point is, you just have to take a chance with a company. i bought wpspd, and i like the pipe. unless you are in the business of making pipes, i wouldn't go knocking on other companies
