Hey, I got my Pro Car Parts fstb in, and I thought it actually looked reallly good for $40. Putting it on.. was a different story. The braces that screw in/out to adjust for the width of your car, didn't fit right. I spent over an hour just screwing those into the bar, VERY hard.. now its on and works GREAT though, and give it a thumbs up for looks.

from ebay

Procarparts.com sells them on ebay, or from their website. I got it for $40 from ebay, they are 47.95 from their website, http://www.procarparts.com

Click their logo right below, I linked it to their nissan maxima strut bar info page. Goodluck

Did anyone else

have lots of trouble screwing the C shaped mounts into the bar? Mine was EXTREMELY hard to do, and once I got it on, there was no way in the world to adjust it to stretch the struts at all. I just adjusted it to where it would fit onto both sides as the same time and bolted it down. Am I not getting max perforance, I read that to get to rigidty or whatever out of it , you must turn it once you have them bolted on to stretch the struts apart the slightest bit... true, not true? How was had was everyone elses to screw in/out... ?

No you don't need to...

preload the strut towers with the FSTB either in tension or compression with the adjustment nuts. Just bolt it down once the holes align as you did. The Maxima's front strut towers must flex alot because, once installed, the FSTB makes a hugh difference in how the car corners and tracks down the road. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't experianced it for myself. BTW. It looks just like the FSTB Courtesy Nissan sells, to me.

The pics are great! But one question. Is the bar resting on the AC lines? I've read in a few posts that it was recommended to place something inbetween the bar and the tubing to prevent it from rubbing.

No, it is not touching anything

The bar was maybe a half inch off of them, so I didn't worry about it too much.

I had a hard time getting the c brackets on until I realized that you have to turn them backwards to get them on. You might have thought that you were tighting them but you were not putting them on at all. Try turning the other way that is what i had to do and it works great.

Lucky You

I bought a FSTB from a local shop and it's the same one that courtesy sells and I've been waiting more than a month for it. This is not the end of my headaches because I have a '99 and I have to do some sawing.

I had the same problem, put switched the screws and then both went in easy. Yours does not touch the AC line? I don't have mine on because it is resting on it with a pretty strong force. Needs to be about 1/4 inch higher. Not sure what I should do...
