Transmission failure...

What a week! First off, my max stops shifting while going 55 mph... then, I order a ACT stage I clutch kit, have it installed...they tell me the flywheel is done, i saw the neat purple/black rings and thought it was done for too...then I fork out the cash to do all this...$415....and they give me a bolt that has been chewed to all hell and say "we don't know where it goes" wtf?!! I was told it had a bad leak..worse than a drip...so they said you could drive it 10-15 miles with no prob. to a tranny shop...well, now its at a BMW/Audi specialist and he opens up the tranny...oh my frickin god> the bell housing has a 2 in by 2 in shredded hole in the housing wall....now I am wondering...how messed up are they gears as a result?...hmmmm so what now has costed 300 clutch + 415 labor/flywheel= $715 for nothing....what do you all think?! i can't find a 96 tranny 5spd...I live here in tampa bay and nada...is the 92-94 tranny the same!? If anyone with good knowledge on this specific problem could please help me out, I am so ****ed off man, but nothing I can do or know to do...

Aye yI yI...sorry but I couldnt help but laugh... the way you wrote the post was so funny. Anyhow, I dont think anybody else (except this one guy in Illinois) has had as many failures as me. Check out www.car-part.com to try to find a tranny. And no the 94 or lower cars will not work. As for tranny failures we have about 4 discussions going on about it on the general page.
