new info on electric turbo
dannie (has an old accord P.o.s.) one of my buddies recently raced another of my buddies, mike ( 93 bmw) they had raced before and mike usually just f****d with dannie and beat him easily by little more than a car lenght but dannie got the new "electric turbo" put on and this race mike really had to try to win to beat dannie. this is all what mike said and i dont know if i beleve him fully but from what mike has told me the turbo is really just a siphon pump from a boat or something modified to force air in to the intake pipe, he said it resembles a real turbo. he said it puts out at 6 psi but i dont think it all gets to your engine cause dannie would blow something in his pos. any one else heard anything about this thing? mike said he was gettin one so i told him to pick me up one too, just to try it out its about $60 so not a real big deal, ill let you guys know when i get it on.
I bid on one of those things on ebay, did a little research about five minutes after doing so and nearly crapped my pants cause poor college students shouldnt be wasting money on such a worthless piece of ripoff donkey nuts. Buy some stickers or something, that'll get you more hp and itll be better for your car.
Do a search for this thing on the org, and youll see what im talkin about.

Can't say I like to admit it, but someone has to be the crash test dummy sometimes. I bought one of those a few years ago. Added 1WHP between on and off mode. This dyno was done at the 2000 DC MEET or MAXUS 2000? Whichever one was at EIP outside of Baltimore, I don't remember anymore. Could have been 1999. AND it was like $300!!!!
Eben and the rest were there. The dyno may still be linked off the www.dcmaxclub.org page, although some of the links don't work after I moved the site.
