Another brownie for the Maxima!

Haven't went out cruising in about a year, since I wrecked my GS-R, but tonite I said what the ****. Didn't have anything else to do. Wasn't expecting many since we had a snow storm about 3 days ago and parts of the main street were still a little icy. Raced around with a couple just messing around and blew them all away, a v6 accord, probe gt, and a civic si. Was about to turn and go home when this old 5.0 mustang starts revving (nothing against mustangs, my roomy drives one). We pull up to a light and his car sounds loud and mean compared to my intake and stock exhaust.I think his going to jump me off the line but when the light turns green we both gun it and he doesn't pull on me at all. In fact after 3rd I was about 2 cars ahead oh him. Boy was he shocked asking me all kinds of stuff(what I had done to it). Just when things couldn't get better this eagle talon zooms by me with his coffee can muffler. Thinking it was a non-turbo. I pull up to him and gun it. To my amazement he doen't pull back and I don;t pull up either. Fast ****. I ask him what the deal was, and he said stock turbo with inkae and muffler. I convince him to go to interstate 311 and race. This is where the max suprised me big time and again. 1st- side by side, 2nd- max pulls 1/2 car, 3rd- max ahead by 3/4 car, 4th- max and talon turbo side by side. I thought I would have gotton waxed, beat! but We actually tied overall. Raced 2 more times just to make sure and same near results.
He said I sounded like asupercharger so I told him to check it. He was astonished and impressed...

I love the maxima's potencial...

i bet you had one hell of a rush when you raced all that night. You really should go out cruising looking for some competition every so often, its in our nature. Cant beleve you beat that mustang, do you think if oyu brought the mustange to the road where you brought the talon you would of won that time?>hmmm

In bad weather such as slippery roads, a front wheel drive car will handle 100 times better then a rear wheel drive car.

ehm...sometimes...but going up steep, unplowed hills can be interesting.

4wd is the best of course...pull and push are better than just pull or push.

Yeah but he didnt race any 4wd cars. None of the cars he went up against are 4wd.

I raced a Dodge neon some months ago, I was stock, he was modified. I think it was an R/T as well. Anyways, we were playing with each other, and then pull up to a light. Light turns green, we gun it. I pulled ahead by 1/2 a car length, and then he comes back up, neck and neck. He was actually just about to pass me, when a Honda Accord pulled out in front of him, causing him to slow down. I slowed down as well, just in case he needed to swerve over. But afterwards, he did the ricer fly-by past me, with his hazards blinking

After recent events, I won't be street racing ... Oh wait, I don't street race anymore!

yeah, be careful when racing in winter. black ice will hand you your own *ss. back when i had my stock 96' maxima i had a couple races with my friend in his 96' eclipse GST with intake, and blow-off valve.
he was 5speed and i was auto, i would always have him upto like 30 or so (he couldnt launch to well i assume) and then he would always pull like 2-3 cars upto what ever speed. i want to race him now that i have my moddded 97' but he decided to run from the cops when he got caught racing and got his license suspended and parents sold his car. hes not smart

most defin. . The roads weren't that bad. Most places were dry it was at one end of the street and the other end that was icy(black iced)... I'm not saying i can beat all 5.0 but this one I could. Ragged out as hell, it sounded decent but looked like crap and I guess the performance of it was crap too. I had a couple spectators vouching it too.
