Thanks Maxima.org - 60k tune up

Well, having never even changed my oil myself before, I managed to perform the following tune up items on my 97 GXE.. with the help of Maxima.org!

Oil change - Mobil 1 5W30 synthetic
Oil filter - Nissan OEM
Fuel Filter - Generic Deutsch
PCV Valve - Generic Deutsh
Man Trans fluid - AMSOIL Series 2000 75W 90
Spark Plugs - NGK Platinum PFR5G-11

The oil change was a piece of cake, so was the oil filter.

Fuel filter was a PITA! I ended up having to remove the stock intake all the way to the TB just to get room to get to it..(I have a home made intake cone filter).

PCV Valve - What a b!tch. There's no room to work on that at all.

MT fluid - used StygianMax's write up! Thanks for the tip on using the shifter sensor to drain - although I was not prepared for how quickly it drained! MT fluid flew out all over the place and only about 2/3 of it landed in the drain pan. But WOW does this thing shift smoothly now!!!!

Spark plugs - piece of cake (compared to my Chevy S-10 Blazer)

Thanks to the ORG I was confident performing these tasks, where I would not have even attempted them before!

My Y Pipe is here (Budget) and under the Xmas tree.
I took a good look at the stock setup while I was under there... I feel confident that I could also do that myself.

Just make sure you have some swivel sockets and a good breaker bar.....or power tools. Those bolts holding the Y-pipe to the exhaust manifolds and the bolts holding the Y-pipe to the Cat are almost impossible to break loose. But you are right to say that it is an easy job if the right tools are at hand.....
