Hey there people, I'm looking for some help here. I have a 96 gle with 150,000 on it, just recently when starting the car it almost sounds like the starter is hanging...I'm not positive on it yet but that is my initial thought, has anybody had this happen before, is it common on the 96 with that many miles, and also I have read before on here that they recalled 97 starters, do any of the 96 models fall under that....? any help will be greatly appreciated!!!

the 95 - 96 maximas have there share of problems with the starters, but the recal on the 97 maximas is for the alternator

 

if you go to www.motorcave.ca , they have a good walk through on regreasing your starter and such....try that, and just give it a little "bang", and maybe that'll help
