I don't really have a relative comparision of times in my mind, but that sounds pretty nice to me.

Nice run. What's up with the 4mph variation in your trap speeds though?

Good question, I have no idea. I was told today that the trap speed read-out isnt the speed you go through the trap in but it's actually an average of speeds and different points on the track. What that translates to, I'm not sure.

KLoWnPR109: I don't know about the MEVI. BswithTF ran a 14.94 w/ the VI. However, 96sleeper has one as well and he's whipping my a**(14.77). If courtesy begins making the VI's more affordable and speeds up the turn-around time on them, it will be really tempting.

Congrats.

That is wierd that your traps vary that much, but your ET stays relatively consistent. Your trap speed is an average over the last 60'. You should be able to see the "trap boxes" sitting near the end of the track. On any given day, my car only varies by 1mph or less, regardless if the engine is smoking or ice cold.

I've noticed that if i spin the tires off the line i get a higher ET, but faster trap speed. If the tires hook up right a way, my ET is lower, but i'm going slower through the trap.
BTW, awesome run.

I sent you an email.

Yeah Jay was there. Poor guy, everyone (Requin6, speedtrip, and I) set their personal bests and he just didnt have it. I know how that feels and it sucks. I think he finally realized the venom chip does nothing. He had tried to get his money back from the place but he said they weren't going to refund him.

Why bother with the OD button? An auto will only shift into 4th at redline at over 130 MPH. Are you sure you didn't mean a manual 2-3 shift?

No I just left it in drive. I know the specifics of the OD button but I had read a long article either here or somewhere else (I just unsuccessfully tried to find it) about people feeling a little "boost" of sorts if they turned OD on at 80 mph. Since I had nothing to lose I tried it and ran my personal record. Now, I'm sure this method was the least of the reasons for why I ran fast but being superstitious I just kept doing it throughout the day.
