Interesting conversation with Discount Tire Technician

I just ordered some Dunlop Sport A2's! Need them badly! I hope I made the right choice because I'm going from 225/55/16's to 215/55/16's.

Anyway, I was giving the Tech the information about myself. When I gave him the car Make/Model he looked up and said "I have heard some great reviews on the 97(4th gen) Maxima's. I heard they were reliable, comfortable, quick and fun to drive! You have a great car there!" I just said "yep, yep, yep and yep!”

Just thought I would share a "respect for the Maxima" story. Plus, it's the first time in a long time I have been complimented on the Maxima itself and not my own individual car!!

I don't think I got a great deal. It was $106 with the lifetime balance/rotation, etc.

They were normally $116 so I told him they had
them at Tire Rack for $88 plus shipping.

He added the Balancing/Warranty and Shipping to that cost and came up with a $106 price match.

If you don't have a DiscountTires nearby, try Sears. The A2s are on sale until next year and Sears has been running a 10% off everything (including sale prices) the last few Saturdays. I'd expect a similar deal the coming weekends and the day after Christmas. 215/55-R16 is $94.50 at 10% off the sale price.
