Just tune the injector pulse and you'll run nines.
Seriously though a good shot of nitrous would be a great investment on these cars, it would cost close to what the MEVI would, but if your just looking for ***** to the wall power, the nitrous would be your best power to dollar.
Remember, everyone happens to know somthin, and one of the things we knows is, it's not how you stand by your car, it's how you race your car, better learn that
Sorry to get all fast and furyless on everyone, I just saw it on another post and couldn't help myself.

Well it's not easy but I'd never taken the intake manifold off before and did it myself, total time was about 10 hours over a 3 day period. Three stints of 4, 3 and 3 hours. Just takes patience. It's a steep learning curve, once you do it the first time, the 2nd time is easy as cake. We installed Brian's in about 3 hours. A mechanic would probably charge like 4 hours labor, so you're lookin at least $250, not worth it imho.

I could do it tho.......I looked at some install instructions on it, what worries me is all that you DON'T get with the MEVI that they talk about...vac. cannister, and lots of other little crap. What do you think he'll take for it when it's removed, I know it's not yours so you can't be sure but a ballpark for what one is worth used would help...
Thanks

So I'd say it's worth $475-$500 shipped.
As far as the "Bunch of little stuff", it's really not all that much stuff. The easiest part of the install is the RPM switch, vacuum canister, solenoid and hoses. (And relay if you choose to use one)
As far as the manifold install, It's hardest the first time you do it on any car, because of the learning curve, but it's pretty hard to mess up or break your car by just replacing the manifold. The biggest thing is to use new gaskets, and the 2 coolant hoses in the back of the manifold and making sure they're attached properly.
And those PITA clamp bolts in the back - they suck.
Otherwise, it's cake.
