Glovebox removal ?

Something rattling in my dash, and need to take the glovebox door off to see whats going on behind it. I took the bottom two screws out, and the two more on top with it open, and then took the two screws at the latch off. The bottom comes out but something is catching on the top. I don't think they're clips because I tried pulling hard on it, but to no avail.

Any help is appriciated. Thanks guys.

You have to take off the lock and the latch. Try that. I disasmbled the hole thing so if that didnt help just ask.

It should be 4 screws on the top and two on the bottom. Look in a haynes manual but mine came off easily.

I just had this problem. I took out those 6 screws, but there was still something holding it in at the top. I pulled, and voila, broke the 2 plastic clips that hold it in. It doesn't really matter once everything is screwed back in- I think they are just there so that you don't have to hold the glove box up while you're trying to screw in the screws. Good luck!

Yeah mine came out a little rough the first time too. I actually broke that little plastic bar that goes accross on the bottom. It didn't really matter though, but while you have the glove box off you should remove that bar that weighs 3lbs. It all adds. Check my steps to lighten the max on my sig for more info.
