OIl Temp sensor mounting

Ok, I have seen a few posts here about this, but no one has come up with a great answer.

Autometer does not make a fitting that will work. The Drain plug would be a great location, but the threads are M12/1.25

DOH!

So, basically you would need a 1/8 NPT to M12/1.25 fitting to make it work.

Hey, I would rather not Jimmy something into my oil pan.

Anyone got a suggestion?

You need to put the sender in the oil pan.

1. Drop the pan.
2. Drill a hole.
3. Braze/weld the bung to the pan.
4. Screw the sender into the bung.
5. Wire up the sender to the gauge.
