Stillen Rear Strut Bar Install...Help

I got a stillen rear strut tower bar used. I'm trying to follow the instructions on maximadriver.com but they are kinda vague. I says something about expanding the bar to spread the two towers. How do I do that? And when I torque the nuts to 30 lbs. do I do it on the nuts that actually connect to the struts...or to the nuts that are on the bar?

Thanks - CHad

There should be a threaded section (or sections) with nut on the bar itself to control length. You screw in/screw out the threaded section to control length, then tighten the nut against the bar itself to lock the length.

I think, anyway. Haven't worked on a Stillen one in a while.

Torque the strut-bracket to strut tower bolts to 30lb-ft.

haha, I remember when Cheston came over to my house to install the RSTB...what a day that was.

No real instructions. Just take out the trunk liner, estimate where the bar will go, cut a slit, install the bar, replace liner. Should take less than 1hr (1hr assumes you're **** about the hole in the liner you're making) Otherwise, should take 30min.
