Christmas afternoon, empty road, New Honda Accord, driver feelin cocky. Suprised the heck outta me. Those things ain't slow at all.
it was dead heat from 75 to 120 if one of us was pulling I could not tell. Then we mutualy conceded. I have a '96 SE 5SP with only a JWT
intake. and 146,000 miles. What are the specs on these?

if its the new v6 it better hold its own on you. they have 240 at the crank so id say that since you guys were in a "dead heat" then he probably had an automatic. unless you really suck at stick and he had the 4 banger

naw

I can handle my stick. Been driving one for 14 years straight. He knew he was fast he came up screwing wit me. He passed me on the interstateand we both got onto another interstate and the onramp is a tight circle. He did not have the same lateral hold that I did so I got beside him then outta the turn is a long straight and we just hammered down. I don't know what he had above 120.

I sorta raced one the other day. It was a v6 black coupe, probably automatic. It was on a straight road with no cars ahead so it was safe. I didn't know if this guy wanted to race or not so I kinda took off slow from the stoplight. I mildly shifted to 2nd and he still was not biting and then I shifted to 3rd and held it there for a couple of seconds waiting for him to bite but he didn't so I go screw it and shifted to 5th, minding my own business. This was around 60 mph. All of a sudden, I saw him coming up fast, mind u he was only about 2 car length's behind so he caught up quick. By the time, I had time to react, he was about 2 car lengths ahead of me. So I quickly shifted to 3rd and give chase. I had to top out third and most of fourth to finally catch and pass him. By then we were going about 120 so I shut it down. I wanted to go again with me prepared but he didn't wanted to go again so that was that.

Cliff notes: I raced 2k3 accord v6, had me until 120 then I caught up and passed him and shut it down.

And at thousands of $ less, more room (than the coupe), and better looks...
